Around the Inn Picture of Hornsby House Inn taken from front lawn

Over the years, relatives, guests, and visitors have been welcomed into this grand entrance distinguished by the wide staircase where many brides, including Innkeeper David’s in 1978, have descended on their way to meet their grooms.

Stop and rest a spell with a good book by the gas log fireplace or spend time relishing all the day’s activities with your companions and other guests.

Join us for breakfast at the large dining room table where family has gathered for mealtimes since 1933. Be part of the lively conversation and hearty laughter, plus hear family stories and Yorktown history shared by Innkeeper David, who grew up here. A homecooked breakfast and fresh locally roasted coffee await you every morning.

Relax with friends or family in the cheerful sunroom, where sparkling multi-paned windows look out onto the York River and Yorktown Victory Monument. In the winter enjoy the warmth of a roaring fire in the uniquely designed fireplace.

Located diagonally across Main Street, the Yorktown Victory Monument watches over the York River and Hornsby House Inn’s guests lingering in the terrace rocking chairs and savoring the view.  You might even see the Fifes and Drums of York Town march smartly by playing their colonial tunes that celebrate our American heritage.

Another inviting outdoor spot where you can rest, relax, and take in the colorful gardens. There is even an awning in case of rain!

Here at the guest entrance to Hornsby House Inn you literally can put up your feet and catch up with your companions or perhaps cultivate new friendships with other guests.
