THE CARRIAGE HOUSE SUITE Occupancy: 2 – 3 guests, pet friendly with additional $25.00 fee per night. The Carriage House is a ground-level guest suite separate from our primary building – next to the Inn entry on Smith St. It features a king bed and single bed. It also has a small frig, microwave and coffee maker. The petit full bathroom features a stand-up shower. Guest booking this room are encouraged to enjoy all Inn common areas inside the home.      | Around the Inn Foyer: Over the years, this area has welcomed family, guests, and Yorktown visitors to this charming, elegant house. At times, even brides have slowly descended the wide staircase to stand by their grooms at the numerous weddings that have occurred here, past and present. Both Innkeepers, David and Philip, grew up in the home. LIVING ROOM: This room beckons you to stop and rest a spell with a good book by the gas log fireplace, or to spend time relishing all the day’s activities with your companions and other Inn guests. DINING ROOM : Join us for breakfast at our large dining room table that has witnessed many family mealtimes over the years. Enjoy lively conversation, hearty laughter, history and family stories by David and Philip, and the delicious, mouth-watering smells of our gourmet breakfasts, and fresh house blend organic coffee. SUNROOM: Relax with friends or family in our cozy Sunroom with unique and large fireplace, and its sparkling multi-paned windows that look out at the York River and Yorktown Victory Monument. Front Patios: Just diagonally across Main Street, the YORKTOWN VICTORY MONUMENT watches over the York River… and the Hornsby House Inn’s guests. Sit in our patio rocking chairs and enjoy the view. In the summer, watch the Yorktown Fife and Drums march smartly by playing their Colonial tunes and then to do their show at the Victory Monument. |
